Code of Ethics

  • We believe that personal aggrandizement or personal profit obtained through misuse of public or personal relationships is dishonest and intolerable.
  • We will identify and eliminate participation of any individual in operational situations where a conflict of interest may be involved.
  • We believe that individuals that possess UPPCC certification should at no time or under any circumstances accept directly or indirectly, gifts, gratuities or other things of value from suppliers, which might influence or appear to influence purchasing decisions.
  • We will keep our governmental organization informed, through appropriate channels, on problems and progress of applicable operations by emphasizing the importance of the facts.
  • We will handle all personnel matters on a merit basis. Politics, religion, ethnicity, gender and age carry no weight in personnel administration of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
  • We shall not seek or dispense personal favors that are in conflict with our profession.
  • We will handle each administrative problem objectively and empathetically without discrimination.
  • We subscribe to and support the professional aims and objectives of the Universal Public Procurement Certification Council.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office auctions surplus property through GovDeals.com (www.govdeals.com), and the Palm Beach County Thrift Store athttp://pbcgov.com/ofmb/financial/thriftstore/.

Auctions are advertised at least one week before the auctions in the Palm Beach Post’s Notices, and on the PBC TV20 Community Bulletin Board.

The ultimate purpose of the Supplier Section is to provide transparency of the entire procurement process by providing all pertinent information at your fingertips.

The Supplier Section is a one stop service section of the Procurement Department webpage where the supplier can navigate to register on-line and learn how to conduct business with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. The Suppliers will have access to their supplier portfolio twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, to update their contact information. It is important that the supplier information is accurate and updated in order to electronically receive future solicitations.
