Reserves & Auxiliary Unit

The Reserve & Auxiliary Unit is comprised of men and women from our community who hold a law enforcement officer or auxiliary law enforcement Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission certification. These dedicated sworn volunteers take an active role in addressing quality of life issues that face our communities within Palm Beach County.

 

 

School Traffic Safety Unit

Graffiti Eradication Unit logoSchool Crossing Guards play an important role in the community by protecting the lives of school children who walk and bike ride to and from school. Crossing Guards also provide safety awareness and education to the children teaching them safe crossing techniques and educating them on the various pedestrian and bicycle safety laws.

 

 

Volunteers

Graffiti Eradication Unit logoThe Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office established the volunteer program in 1989. The program has grown to over 1,900 citizens serving as the “eyes and ears” throughout unincorporated Palm Beach County. Volunteers also serve in many administrative departments across the agency, from vehicle maintenance to the crime lab, to assisting detectives.
