Welcome to the District 6 website for West Boynton Beach. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has Law Enforcement responsibilities for this diverse community of over 150,000 residents across nearly 60 square miles. From the Atlantic Ocean to the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Reserve, and from Lantana Road south to the L-30 Canal, we’re here for you. Our offices are located at 7894 Jog Road, directly across from Park Vista High School.

I am Captain Byron Smith, and I am the commander of District 6. In District 6, we believe in the power of working together to achieve a common goal. We have a tradition of seeking excellence in the Law Enforcement services that we provide for the citizens of Western Boynton Beach.  That’s why we work closely with our citizen groups, like COBWRA, to ensure everyone’s safety. By fostering strong community bonds, we can tackle challenges together and keep our neighborhoods safe for all.

Safety for all is our top priority. Whether you’re a resident, a business owner, or a visitor, we want you to feel secure. That’s why we encourage you to reach out with any concerns or suggestions you may have. Together, we can make a real difference in our community.

We’re supported by a dedicated team of 87 uniformed officers and 13 civilian employees, along with the invaluable contributions of our Volunteer Unit. These individuals generously give their time and talents to assist with various tasks, from special events to assisting with investigations.

With 28 years of law enforcement experience, including 20 years with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, I understand the importance of collaboration and communication. Our local businesses, schools, homeowners and citizen groups are the heartbeat of this vibrant community. Together, we’ll continue to preserve the quality of life that makes West Boynton Beach such a desired place to call home.
