Location: 2722 Westgate Avenue, WPB, FL

Narrative: The driver of V-1 was unlawfully traveling westbound on Westgate Avenue within the eastbound inside lane. The driver of V-2 was traveling eastbound within the eastbound inside lane; thus, a violent crash occurred as both vehicles impacted into each other. The driver and passenger of V-1 were transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center for additional medical treatment. The driver of V-2 succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the crash scene. A criminal investigation is ongoing reference to the actions of the driver of V-1. Impairment is considered a factor in the improper/unlawful actions of the driver of V-1.
