Our Homeless Intervention team got an email from an angel who has been helping a gentleman who sleeps on Forest Hill and Fl Mango. She was concerned for his health. In her email, she said he had swelling in his legs and back pain, which made it difficult for him to get around. She and her neighbors had been feeding him but wanted to find a way we at the Sheriff’s Office could help him more.

The PBSO Homeless Intervention Team and DS Robinson, who is in the second week of his Field Training Program, were able to locate Steven who is homeless, dealing with physical disabilities, and has lost hope. The Homeless Intervention Team reassured Steven that they were there to help and provided Steven with food, clothes, and hygiene items. The Homeless Intervention Team will be assisting Steven with obtaining his birth certificate, and Florida ID and connecting him with Social Security and Homeless Services so he can attend to his medical care.
