School Traffic Initiative Has a Good Start
Our School Traffic Initiative is off to a good start. Drivers can either slowdown when passing by a school zone or we’ll be there as a reminder. Just to give you an example, in the Town of Lake Park alone, we have given out 58 citations and 159 written warnings.
Operation Southern Shield
Speeding endangers everyone! We’re joining agencies from FL, GA, AL, TN & SC to take part in "Operation Southern Shield" to reduce fatalities & save lives. We will be patrolling main roadways in Palm Beach County from July 15th - July 21st. Don’t say we didn’t warn you!
Traffic Safety Officer of the Year
Each year, My FDOT has an awards ceremony to honor agencies based on the reduction of traffic fatalities & enforcement efforts. Out of countless nominees throughout the State of Florida, Corporal Rey Soriano was named Traffic Safety Officer of the Year.
Texting While Driving Law
ATTENTION DRIVERS As of July 1st, Texting and Driving is a primary traffic offense, meaning drivers can get stopped for it. Please don’t TEXT AND DRIVE. Together, we can make our roads safer. Share with family & friends who may not have heard about the new law.Do you drive a keyless car?
Sheriff Ric Bradshaw would like to remind drivers with a keyless car to be sure to turn off your car, especially when parked in your garage. Dozens of people have been poisoned by carbon monoxide after failing to turn off the ignition on their keyless cars.
