Central Records/ARU

It’s an honor and a privilege to be assigned as the Commander of Central Records and the Alternate Response Unit (ARU). The Central Records Division is a large, complex, and integral part of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. The Division has fifty-two (52) employees located in four (4) geographical locations: Headquarters, Belle Glade, The Village of Royal Palm Beach, and The City of Lake Worth. The Central Records Division has many responsibilities and functions. The Division is the main repository of records for the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Also, Central Records processes and maintains all booking data records, all supplemental data for police reports, and audio/visual reproductions. A majority of public records requests are sent to Central Records for review and fulfillment. In addition Central Records is responsible for reviewing and processing the annual and semi-annual uniform crime report to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. Other services provided by Central Records include:

• Local Background checks
• Police Letters of Clearance
• Adoption Letters (Domestic and International)
• Police Records (Criminal, Informational and Accident reports)

Central Records professional staff members are dedicated to serving the citizens and visitors of Palm Beach County with the highest level of customer service. They strive to be responsive to customers’ needs while following Florida’s Public Records Laws. The staff is continually reviewing how to meet the growing demand for law enforcement related information in a timely manner.
