Complainants may discover that a tax return has already been filed in their name and may wish to make a report. The complainant or taxpayer, who believes they are victims of identity theft can access information at irs.gov (search: identity theft). The web page contains information about what to do if they believe they have tax issues that are the result of identity theft, e.g., how to contact the Identity Protection Specialized Unit (IPSU), a link to the IRS Identity Theft Affidavit (Form 14039), etc. The Taxpayer/Victim can also contact the IRS Identity Protection Specialized Unit (IPSU), toll-free 1-800-908-4490 for guidance.

It’s an honor and a privilege to be assigned as the Commander of Central Records and the Alternate Response Unit (ARU). The Central Records Division is a large, complex, and integral part of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. The Division has fifty-two (52) employees located in four (4) geographical locations: Headquarters, Belle Glade, The Village of Royal Palm Beach, and The City of Lake Worth. The Central Records Division has many responsibilities and functions. The Division is the main repository of records for the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Also, Central Records processes and maintains all booking data records, all supplemental data for police reports, and audio/visual reproductions. A majority of public records requests are sent to Central Records for review and fulfillment. In addition Central Records is responsible for reviewing and processing the annual and semi-annual uniform crime report to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement. - Police Records (Criminal, Informational and Accident reports)
