Sherry Mazorra, Chief Financial Officer, is currently assigned to the Financial Services Bureau. Financial Services Bureau encompasses three divisions within the Palm Beach County Sheriff‘s Office: Accounting; Budget and Financial Reporting & Internal Controls. At present, there are 48 civilian employees assigned to these various divisions with a current Operating Budget of $5,700,000.00 for Fiscal Year 2015-2016.The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is the largest law enforcement agency in Palm Beach County with an annual budget of over $530 million. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office has five departments – Administrative Services which includes Information Technology, Personnel Services, Procurement and Financial Services. Management Services, Legal Affairs, Media Relations, Corrections and Law Enforcement Services which includes Communications Operations, Countywide Operations, Homeland Security, South and West Regional Bureaus and Strategic Operations. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is comprised of over 4,000 employees and approximately 5,500 volunteers.
Sherry Mazorra has served the PBSO since 2004. Bureau Director Mazorra holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Government Finance Officer. Sherry Mazorra is an active member of the Government Finance Officers Association, Florida Government Finance Officers Association, AICPA and FICPA.
Sherry Mazorra is married and has a son and a granddaughter.
