When you call 911, the 911 operator needs quick, clear, and concise information.
- Location
- Injuries
- Incident Details – words to indicate a hate crime.
- Any Weapons Involved – description of weapon
- Suspect – description of suspect, race, sex, height, weight, clothing, etc.
- Anything unusual – accent, scars, tattoos, piercings, etc.
- Suspect Vehicle – tag, color, make, model, dents, bumper stickers, etc.
- Direction of Travel
SOMEONE CALLING YOU A NAME IS NOT A CRIME – IT IS FREE SPEECH. WHEN SOMEONE CALLS YOU A NAME AND THEN THREATENS YOU OR PHYSICALLY HARMS YOU, IT THEN BECOMES A CRIME.
