PBSO School Crossing Guard Training
The Palm Beach Sheriff's Office recently held training sessions for School Crossing Guards for county schools. There are still job positions open as crossing guards, with good pay and benefits. Schools open August 15th, so anyone interested should contact PBSO immediately.
Shooting In Pahokee
Just before 1:00 am on Sunday, August 14, 2016, deputies responded to a shooting in the 700 block of Joe Louis Ave, located in Pahokee. Upon arrival, deputies located two individuals with gunshot wounds. Both victims were airlifted to St. Mary’s Medical Center where one of the victim’s passed away from his injuries and the second victim is in critical condition. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division and Crime Scene Investigators responded to the scene to investigate further. No motive or suspect...PBSO Educates Public on Drugs
The Palm Beach Sheriff's Office sent representatives to the Winston Trails development in Lake Worth, Florida to educate the public on the dangers of drugs. A former drug addict also attended to speak to the public about her personal experiences on drugs.

Whole foods Raises Funds For PBSO
Whole Foods, in Palm Beach County, is giving 5% of today's net sales to The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Foundation to help raise funds. As part of the fundraiser, PBSO held family friendly events at Whole Foods across the county.
Homicide in Lake Worth
PBSO is working a homicide at 1202 S. F Street Lake Worth. One adult male deceased on scene. One B/m suspect at large at this time. VCD called to the scene as well as Crime Scene Investigators. This is an open and ongoing investigation.
Shooting in Boca Raton
PBSO is currently working a homicide at 9900 Sandlefoot Blvd., Boca Raton. This location is O'Connors bar. PBSO received a call of a shooting about 4:35am. We have one adult male victim deceased on scene from a gunshot wound. We are currently tracking the suspect /shooter. VCD Detectives are responding. Early information indicates that the victim and suspect knew each other. This is an open and ongoing investigation.
PBSO Trains Active Shooter Scenario in PB Airport
The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office participated with other agencies in an active shooter training exercise at Palm Beach International Airport. PBSO trains with a variety of scenarios to be prepared in the event of an emergency.
