Meet Colonel Antonio Araujo
After his honorable discharge from the United States Marine Corps, Colonel Antonio Araujo began his career at the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office in 1982 as a Deputy Sheriff. He has worked in and supervised a variety of assignments within the agency. He has been promoted through the ranks of Sergeant, Lieutenant, Captain, Major and was appointed to the rank of Colonel on September 12, 2017.
Colonel Araujo oversees Law Enforcement Operations at the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office which encompasses 20 districts, some of which are municipalities that contract police services with the Sheriff’s Office.
Colonel Araujo earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Professional Administration from Barry University and is a graduate of the Senior Executives in State and Local Government at the Harvard Kennedy School.
Colonel Araujo is married with three adult children and five grandchildren.
