Death of a Swimmer Found in Distress Near Boynton Inlet

At 10:32 AM on November 3, 2024, the Manalapan Police Department received a 911 call from a beachgoer reporting a swimmer in distress near the Boynton Inlet, approximately 1/4 mile north of a non-lifeguard protected area. Security officers and medics from a nearby estate rescued the male from the rough surf and rip currents, administering CPR until the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue arrived. The male swimmer was transported to Bethesda East Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:17 AM by the emergency room staff. His identity was unknown at the time.

An autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of death.

The deceased has been identified as Maximilian Sadowski, 34 years of age, from Lake Worth.
