PBSO Detectives made an arrest in the senseless homicide of Shihab Mahmud, Wellington convenience store clerk.
Lajayvian D. Daniels, DOB: 7/2/93, was indicted, on a sealed indictment, last Thursday by a Palm Beach County Grand Jury for the May 30, 2014 murder of Shihab Mahmud. Shihab worked as a clerk at the Chevron station and convenience store located at 11858 Forest Hill Blvd., Wellington. Daniels was developed as a suspect soon after the murder. He has been serving time in Florida State Prison in Starke on unrelated charges (burglary and grand theft) since January of this year.
Daniels was picked up by Palm Beach County Sheriff’s detectives today and transported back to Palm Beach County to face the murder charges. He is currently being booked into the Palm Beach County Jail on 1st Degree Murder Charges.
