Shooting/Homicide 02/25/23
Update –
February 28, 2023, detectives arrested the suspect, Santos Arturo Amador-Sanchez, DOB: 5/22/1991 for First Degree Murder with a Firearm and two counts of Attempted First Degree Murder with a Firearm. The suspect still resides in the hospital.
This was a domestic related disturbance that occurred during a family gathering at the residence. The suspect, 31 years old, shot himself after he shot three victims; female victim 40 years old (deceased), male victim 10 years old (serious but stable condition) and male victim 28 years old (serious injuries).
Marsy’s Law has been invoked for all victims.
Shortly after 5:00 PM, deputies responded to a shooting in the 5000 block of Breckenridge Place, unincorporated West Palm Beach. Upon arrival deputies located four individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. PBC Fire Rescue responded and transported all four individuals to a local hospital for treatment. Shortly after their arrival an adult female succumbed to her injuries. The three other individuals, all males, are being treated and their immediate conditions are unknown.
Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division are currently on scene investigating further. The investigation is in the preliminary stages.
There is NO threat to the community.
