Today, We Remember Fallen hero, George C. Douglass
Today, Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office remembers with pride their fallen hero, George C. Douglass.
PBSO Deputy Sheriff George C. Douglass was appointed as Deputy Sheriff only five weeks before his death. He was reluctant to take the position and did so only when requested by unanimous vote of the council. On August, 27, 1921, Deputy George C. Douglass was shot trying to arrest a theft suspect near South Bay.
To serve and protect was his oath, to honor him is our duty.
