PBSO Deputy Presents to Summer Camp Children

District 10 Community Policing Deputy Sherry Baker made a “KidSmatz” program presentation to approximately 50 summer camp children at the Bethlehem Haitian Baptist Church of Lake Park. The children were 1st through 5th graders and they enjoyed the informative videos and question and answer session. Operation Cops with Comics

Ben Savedow came to donate hundreds of comic books to our Deputies so that they could give it out to children that they encounter on the road. He wanted a way to connect Law Enforcement Officers with the youth of Palm Beach County. Ben hand selected all the comics and removed all the comics that used weapons or guns. PBSO Marine and Aviation Units Rescue Missing Divers

PBSO Aviation Unit works together with Marine Unit to find and rescue missing divers. Shortly after 10:00 am this morning, seven divers separated from a commercial dive boat out of Jupiter. Two divers were immediately located and transported to the local marina. The other five divers were found a few miles away by PBSO Aviation pilot. The pilot led the Marine Unit deputies to the five outstanding divers. TEAMWORK PAID OFF TODAY. PBSO Marine and Aviation Unit worked together to save a life. Just before 2 am this morning, deputies from the Marine Unit were dispatched to a “man overboard” call 5 miles east of the Boynton Beach Inlet. Once they arrived and spoke with the complainant deputies learned a male occupant either jumped or fell from the vessel. PBSO Eagle helicopter was requested. The pilot located the male swimming 1 ½ miles from where the vessel was located....
