UPDATE

On March 26, 2022 the Palm Beach County Medical Examiner’s office was notified that Driver 1 had died from injuries he sustained in the crash.

Both Vehicle 1 and Vehicle 2 were north bound in lane 2. Vehicle 1 struck Vehicle 2 in the rear causing both vehicles to traverse the center median. Vehicle 2 rotated clockwise and then rolled coming to final rest on its wheels. Driver 2 sustained minor injuries. Driver 1 was trapped in Vehicle 1 as it became engulfed in flames. Driver 1 was removed from the vehicle and taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center via Trauma Hawk where he was being treated for life threatening injuries.
