BUSTED for Grand Theft of Livestock
On December 31, 2016, the victim notified PBSO about the disappearance of a black bull from his herd. A PBSO Detective assigned to the Agriculture Unit began an investigation into the disappearance of the bull. Through the investigation she located what appeared to be the leg from the bull which was located outside the victims fence line along with additional paraphernalia. Two individuals were standing outside their vehicle which had broken down on the east side of W Sugar House Road when a vehicle traveling northbound crashed into both pedestrians and the driver's side of the broken down vehicle. Both pedestrians were thrown northbound. The suspect vehicle continued northbound and failed to stop to render aid. At approximately 2:15 AM, PBSO received several calls of multiple shots being fired at 5089 Breckenridge Place, unincorporated West Palm Beach. Upon arrival Deputies were advised that four apartments had been fired into . In one of the apartments a 12 year-old boy was hit by one of the bullets and taken to the hospital by ground transportation with non-life threatening injuries. Deputies Respond to a Shooting in Boca Raton
Deputies responded to a shooting that occurred in the 22700 block of 65th Terrace, a single family residence in Unincorporated Boca Raton. Upon arrival deputies learned that unknown males entered the home where an altercation ensued that resulted in a male being shot. The suspects fled in a vehicle in an unknown direction. PBSO Arrest Man for 1989 Killing
We are proud to announced that we solved a 27-year-old murder case. Cold Case detectives emphasizes, "Not Giving Up!" Today, detectives obtained an indictment charging Clarence Butler, DOB: 3/22/1955, of Pahokee, with First Degree Murder of Simmie Harris. Simmie Harris was stabbed multiple times by Butler in his apartment between July 4, 1989 and July 5, 1989. Butler was located, arrested and booked into the Palm Beach County jail. He will attend first appearance Friday morning.
