PBSO Investigates a Possible Drowning/Death

On Friday, October 27 at 5:15 pm, deputies made contact with Edgar Velez who was wanted on multiple counts of Burglary and Grand Theft. Shortly after contact, Velez fled on foot and jumped into a nearby canal located at 10th Ave North and Florida Mango, Lake Worth. PBSO Busts Lake Worth Man for 1987 Shooting/Death of Wife

On July 23, 1987, at 7:45 p.m. deputies of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office responded to 1614 Osborne Circle, Lake Worth after receiving a 911 call from the homeowner, James O'Neil. James O'Neil reported that his wife, Verna O'Neil had committed suicide. James advised as he and Verna struggled with firearm it accidentally discharged striking Verna in the left side of her face. Deputies Investigate Shooting in Lake Worth

Deputies responded to a shooting in front of Grocery Stop located in the 1500 block of Railroad Ave, Lake Worth. Upon arrival deputies found a male shot. He was immediately transported to a local hospital. No suspect information or motive known at this time. Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division and Crime Scene Investigators are investigating further. The victim is in stable condition and expected to survive. Deputies Respond to a Shooting in Boca Raton

Deputies responded to a shooting that occurred in the 22700 block of 65th Terrace, a single family residence in Unincorporated Boca Raton. Upon arrival deputies learned that unknown males entered the home where an altercation ensued that resulted in a male being shot. The suspects fled in a vehicle in an unknown direction. PBSO Investigate a Shooting in Lake Worth

PBSO Deputies received a call of “shots fired” approximately 1:30 am in the area of 914 F Street, Lake Worth. Upon arrival Deputies found an Hispanic adult male deceased from being shot and another with non-life threatening injuries. He was transported to the hospital. Detectives are investigating this death. There is no motive to the shooting at this time and no suspect information. This advisory will be updated when more information becomes available.

Man Accused of Indecent Exposure and Trespassing Near Children in Boca Raton

Lawrence Allen Dunn, DOB 12/10/61, was observed hiding behind bushes and appearing to commit a lewd & lascivious act while watching young children as they were walking to school. The most recent incident occurred in the unincorporated area of Boca Raton. He is also known to spend time in Broward County. Dunn was arrested today on a warrant for Indecent Exposure and Trespassing. He has been transported to the Palm Beach County Jail for processing.

PBSO Reads to Children to Commemorate Dr. Seuss

In celebration of Dr. Seuss’s birthday, District 14 was invited to read to the VPK class at Highland Elementary. Deputy Richard Toranzo read to the children the book “Green Eggs and Ham.” A total of 15 children attended the reading session.
