Workplace Shooting at 9000 block of Belvedere Road

Shortly before noon, today, January 17, 2025, deputies responded to a shooting incident in the 9000 block of Belvedere Road, West Palm Beach. Upon arrival, they located one male victim suffering from a gunshot wound and another male with a graze wound. The suspected shooter remained at the scene and has been detained. Violent Crimes Detectives are on-site conducting further investigation. Both injured victims have been transported to a local hospital for medical treatment. There is no immediate threat to the public.

Shooting/Homicide that Occurred in Belle Glade

PBSO deputies were dispatched to a shooting in the 600 block of State Road 715, Belle Glade. Upon arrival, they discovered three adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. The Sheriff’s Office Mounted Unit is heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Vanessa, our beloved 18-year-old Holsteiner mare. Vanessa fell ill during her assignment at St. Mary’s Medical Center and sadly succumbed to her medical condition.
