Deputy Stabbed in Business Robbery
On Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at approximately 4:31 PM, a robbery was reported at a business located at 4180 South Jog Road, Greenacres. An off-duty PBSO deputy who entered the business became aware of the ongoing robbery and intervened. During the encounter, the deputy sustained stab wounds to his torso and hand. The suspect then fled the scene, stealing the deputy’s patrol vehicle, which was later recovered near the intersection of Chickasaw Road and South Jog Road. Our deputy was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.
The suspect, identified as Glen Gotell, was apprehended without incident at 3750 South Jog Road.
