Attempted Robbery that Resulted in a Shooting – Royal Palm Beach

Further investigation into the Robbery/Shooting that occurred on Friday, July 5, 2024, led to the identity of the suspect, Quinton Robinson, DOB: 8/11/2000. On July 6, 2024, Robinson was located at a residence in the 1800 block of  Palm Beach Trace Drive, Royal Palm Beach and taken into custody. A residential search warrant was executed and during the search detectives located items of evidentiary value, including the gun, clothing worn during the robbery, and cash.

Robinson was booked into the PBC Jail on the charges listed below.  He should be attending first appearance this morning.

July 5, 2024

Shortly after 5:00 PM on Friday, July 5, 2024, deputies were dispatched to a shooting incident, in the parking area, at the intersection of Royal Palm Beach Blvd and Okeechobee Blvd, Royal Palm Beach. Upon their arrival, deputies discovered that an attempted robbery had occurred, during which the victim sustained a gunshot wound to the hand. The suspect fled the scene. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Investigators from the Violent Crimes Division, along with Crime Scene investigators, are actively investigating this incident further.
