PBSO Civilian Motorcycle Course

WHEN:       March 8 – 9, 2025

WHERE:    PBSO Driving Pad, 689 Pike Road, WPB, FL 33411 (driveway is north of the Fire Training Facility)

TIME:         8am – 4pm

This course is designed to teach the rider:

  • Hazard recognition
  • Slow maneuvering
  • Sudden lane change
  • Braking and escaping
  • Group riding
  • Accident avoidance

 

Who is invited:               Any motorcycle rider seeking experience.  Class is limited to 15 students who have not taken the course prior.

Requirements:                Your motorcycle (registered and insured if needed), and a valid driver’s license\with Motorcycle Endorsement. (This is NOT an endorsement certification course)

Your attendance and active participation is required for both days. Sorry, no 3-wheel machines.

Safety Equipment:         DOT Approved Helmet, gloves, eyewear, raincoat, and boots that cover your ankles

Other Necessities:          Water, snacks and sunscreen

What to Expect:             Expert training from certified police motorcycle instructors. Each rider will receive individual instruction to improve their riding abilities. The final day will consist of classroom lectures, practical competencies and a 60-mile ride.  Class will ride rain or shine.
