Shortly after midnight on Monday, September 2, 2024, deputies responded to a shooting in the 300 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Belle Glade. Upon arrival, deputies located two adult males suffering from gunshot wounds. One male was pronounced deceased on scene. The second male was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division arrived on scene to investigate this double shooting as a homicide.

Suspect and motive is unknown at this time.
