Deputies responded to a single jet ski accident in the canal just south of the 3000 block of Southern Blvd, WPB.  Upon arrival, deputies learned that an adult male riding a jet ski was involved in a crash on the water.  The rider went beneath the water and did not resurface.  PBC FR responded – see information below.  FWC responded and is leading the investigation.

PBSO Marine Unit responded to the scene to assist with their sonar equipment.  The search continued last evening (March 31, 2024) until dusk.

Today, April 1, 2024, PBSO Marine Unit continues to assist FWC with their sonar equipment.  At the time of this writing the search is still ongoing.
